🚵♂️ Support Local Talent: Satoshi Robles
At Baja Angels of the Sea, we believe in lifting up young people with big dreams – and Satoshi Robles is one of them. He is a passionate young cyclist from our local community, living near the orphanage and women’s shelter we support. His love for cycling, dedication, and determination stood out immediately, and we knew this was a dream worth backing.
With the support of our community, Satoshi is able to train, compete, and grow with confidence. Every donation goes directly toward keeping his racing gear safe, current, and competition-ready – removing barriers so he can focus on what he does best: riding with heart and purpose.
Join us as we pedal forward together – not just toward finish lines, but toward a future where young talent is seen, supported, and given the chance to soar.
Satoshi’s Story
“My name is Satoshi, I am 17 years old and I am in my 2nd year of high school. Since I was little I have been very enthusiastic about riding a bicycle. The person who inspired me in the world of cycling was my father, since he also practiced it and participated in competitions. Another thing that inspired me was when I watched the 2016 Tour de France for the first time.
I first started mountain biking to compete at the age of 14, my first race was in 2021 finishing in 3rd place on the podium. I had 5 more races that year, finishing in the general classification of all races in 3rd place my category, in the year 2022 we had a bad economic streak so I had to pause the competitions but I continued training.
In the year 2023 I returned to the dream that I wanted in the past, but this time I decided that instead of competing in the mountains it would be a serious route, staying in 1st place in beginners, I continued training near my house, it was a very difficult time for my family and I, but we decided to fight for the goals with the help of God, which was achieved, because thanks to two people and my parents they gave me a road bike, managing to continue with my goal.
This year I was able to join the PRT team (Padyack Racing Team), entering races in the United States which is one of the countries with the highest level of cycling.
I am willing to improve in everything to reach Europe where the true level of cycling is. To get into a UCI category team and thus be able to achieve all the goals that I have dreamed of since I was little.
My goal is to continue training as usual, but with more intensity and applying more technique to achieve better results in competitions. I am determined to give my best to reach a higher level in professional cycling. To achieve this, I will need to improve the performance of my bike. I plan to make some upgrades, such as changing the handlebar, both rims, adding specialized lubricant, and replacing the chain. I believe these improvements will be crucial for my performance in future competitions.
Thank you for your support and for accompanying me on this exciting journey in the world of cycling!”
