He was the very first child Bruno connected with when Baja Angels of the Sea began working with orphanages in Baja California. He was just a kid back then — but already carrying more than any child should ever have to carry.
Even at that age, there was something special about him. A kind heart. A quiet strength. And a deep, undeniable drive to succeed.
This week, that belief came full circle in the most beautiful way.
Oswaldo received a scholarship through our incredible partners at Rotary Scholars — a moment that represents years of perseverance, growth, and resilience. As part of the program, he was invited to speak at his high school. Standing alongside his friend and fellow student Christian, he addressed his peers with confidence, pride, and purpose.
And in that moment… you could see it. The journey. The growth. The future.
Watching him stand there — composed, looking ahead, full of possibility — was everything.
